Cancun Tours and Excursions Zipline and Zoo
27 Mar
There are a lot of options for Cancun tours and excursions. We picked the Hummer, Zipline and Zoo tour. The tour combined 3 groups into separate 3 hummers. My boyfriend and I lucked out and got to drive by ourselves with Markel, our tour guide. First stop was the El Rey Ruins where Markey explained the history of the Mayans and Aztecs. We then headed about 30 minutes from the hotel zone into the jungle for the ziplines. The ziplines were pretty shady looking so it took an extra effort to get the nerves to go. However they were not that high compared to the ziplines I did in Catalina Island.

After that we all got onto ATVs and headed to the Senote. This was the most amazing part of the tour. Swimming in a small pool inside a cave. No other group was there so was like our own private spa! We saw several types of fish and even a turtle.

Finally we took the Hummers to a small outdoor restaurant in Puerto Morales before heading to the Zoo. The zoo was pretty awesome too…feeding spider monkeys and holding baby alligators.
Overall these Cancun tours and excursions were above our expectations. One drawback was going with the other groups. They held the entire group up several time which ended up limiting our time at the Senote.
